Classes Schedule

MVA requires that you must complete the Maryland Certified Driver Education Program, consisting of a minimum of thirty (30) hours classroom instruction and six (6) hours behind the wheel training. Your Maryland learner's instructional permit is good for 2 years (24 months) from the date it is issued.

NOTE: Some classes may fall on holidays and will be rescheduled for make-up dates due to MVA's mandatory 36-hour schooling requirement. 

Below are the dates for the 30 hours of classroom instruction. Each session is scheduled for 2-weeks (10 days, 3 hours each day), classes are held Monday thru Friday only. No learner's instructional permit required to attend classroom session.    

The 6 hours of in-person behind-the-wheel instruction includes 3 drives, 2 hours each. Valid learner's instructional permit required for behind-the-wheel instruction.
